HEHD 8090 Management of Staff and Volunteers

I have selected a paper titled Motivational Influences on Staff and Volunteers for my collaborative artifact for Managment of Staff and Volunteers.  This assignment discussed motivation theories and specifically what motirvates staff and volunteeers to work at a nonprofit organization called MissionSAFE. This was an interesting project that revealed that wanting to have a positive impact was a major factor.

I think this was an important artifact, because the workforce is changing and people are choosing to work and volunteer for a variety of motivations. As leaders, it is important to understand what motivates people and try to provide it to staff and volunteers so that they can be effective.
